Melvin "Vern" Edwards is a guy who is always ready for a new adventure himself. He is full of unending pragmatic optimism. He is a man who not only loves his family (wife of 65+ years and five children, grown and multiplying') but has a great love for the outdoors and life in general. He has lived or traveled through most of the country he has written about. He worked for the USFS for 10 years as a Fire Control Officer.
